Show and Tell Time

From my swap buddy
Candi Harris

Good Sunday afternoon to you all.
Thought I would share the latest swap that I joined, a pincushion swap. My swap buddy Candi sent me a beautiful pincushion that she made with lots of ribbon roses and bead work, very pretty. It looks like an envelope and the back is open so that you can put buttons and goodies in there.

Thank you Candi for the lovely pincushion and all your hard work.
Candi does such beautiful embroidery, check out her blog.
I just finished your pincushion and will be putting it in the mail to you this week. So a sneak preview:

So what do you girls think....

Have fun this week!!

Can you believe

I saw this on another site and thought I would bring it everyones attention. I had no idea that this kind of personel information was available to the public. This site lets anyone access someone elses drivers license info, picture and all. I'm not sure who we need to report this site to the Govenor, our Senators maybe get a petition together. Please go and check this site http://www.license.shorturl.com/.

It never rains in California in the summertime..Oh Yeah!!

I can't believe it, it rained last night. For those of you that don't live in California one of the drawbacks other then the cost of living is is that it doesn't rain in the summer. So while other parts of the country are getting green with the afternoon rain showers we are getting a lovely shade of golden brown which by the way mixed with the greens of the oak trees is
quite beautiful.
But I do miss the rain.

It drizzled all night and this is what I woke up to this morning. Beautiful......

Enjoy

Making things

Meet the kitties

strutting their stuff

Here are some pictures of some things that I have made recently for a blog buddy. Valerie has 2 cats Kiya and Sigh and she loves embroidery so I thought I would embroider her some napkins with her kitties on the front and I also made her a skull washcloth. Too much fun.
Meet Kiya

and Sigh

Spooky huh. ; )

Love knitting washcloths. Quick and easy.

Hostage Freed

Finally we were able to get our mail and what a beautiful package was waiting for me. My Spring Felted Bag Exchange partner, Kris made this wonderful bag for me and also sent lots of goodies some already eaten by me, those involving chocolate (yes, those of you that have been following the news the chocolate did make it out and without causing any damage to the purse).

I love the detail on the front of the bag. Kris you did a great job (this is her second felting project ever).

Thank you Kris.

Everyone have a wonderful weekend........

BREAKING NEWS

Update on the hostage situation. After talking to the local postal workers it appears that there is a break in the case. There are sources that want to remain nameless but there was a leak saying all things are looking good for a release sometime tomorrow also sources say that a raNSom was paid for the box key where the hostage is being held. Hopefully all will go as planned and there will be no further RaNSom demands. There are reports that due to extreme heat there might be problems with the contents of the package being held. Some say chocolate might be involved. We are not sure that this source is reliable we are trying to confirm . We will have a cooler on standby if there appears to be problem and hopefully no trip to the dry cleaners will be required. Stay tuned to this blog for any further breaking news..................

Purse Organizer

I wish that I could take credit for the purse oranizer but I found the pattern at http://www.thegivingflower.de/?page_id=78#comment-123899 I did make a few alterations to the pattern to better fit my handbag. I would like to thank The Giving Flower for sharing her pattern.

To my swap buddy

I wanted to let you know that I think your bag has arrived it is just being held hostage in the post office box while the previous owner tries to track down the key. I will let you know as soon as I can get Governor Arnold to give it a reprieve.

HELLO everybody. I have missed you all. Well we are finally in, there were times that it looked like it was not going to happen but finally everything fell in place and here we are. Oh happy days......

There is so much to talk about and I have some pictures to share. So lets get going. First a picture of the house. I'll show you the inside once we have everything in and situated.

Here are the boys swimming at the lake.

and that's our house just below the ridgeline at the center of the picture. It's beautiful here and we are very blessed to be able to live here.

Now pictures of the felted bag that I made for my swap buddy Lia for the SFBE. I also made an organizer to insert in the bag and you can take it out and use it in all you handbags or totes. Hope she likes it.

I am very happy with how it turned out.

Well it has been fun to be back at the blog will talk to you guys soon.
