Do you have one of these?

You know an idea book, a journal, a history of your creative mind. I have had this book by my side since Thanksgiving 2004. I can tell you what we ate, who was there, what time I started the turkey, you name it its documented in this book. There is also Thanksgiving 2005, 2006, and now a new entry, 2007. Same for Christmas, Easter, my 50th birthday party, small family gatherings. All my ideas, my drawings, my patterns for anything and everything that comes in my mind.

Well this book is being retired on December 31st @ midnight. though it will remain at my side so that I can always refer to it. Sad but true it will not be going on trips with me, or shows, or family gatherings anymore. It will stay home and rest and always know that I have loved making every entry and will always enjoy sitting down and reading and remembering.

But, we need to make new memories and I need a new book to keep them in, so I have picked out this one and have it ready for 2008, 2009, 2010.......

Cheryl I got my new book at Ross. They usually have a nice selection of journals.

Beth, How cool to hear my name and disciplined in the same sentence. LOL

How wonderful that you've done that for yourself. What memories! My blog, I guess, would be my journal of sorts.

I use my blog as a journal as well. Although, I do love having little notebooks to draw in and write ideas down. Jane, you're so disiplined to have the same one for so long! I would have lost mine long before if I was you!

I need to start a book, I use random pieces of paper and they end of getting tossed out. Merry Christmas!

Gosh, You made me dig out all my old spiral notebooks from years past and take a trip down memory lane (I have books that go back 20 yrs) and it is amazing to see the evolution of concepts and skills over that period of time. They provide a small window into the past and promise for the future. Keep up your wonderful work, Jane!

I guess I've got a dozen or more of the Crayola spiral sketchbooks (they are a perfect size) and the woven composition notebooks full of my musings. I guess they span about 7 years.

I'm a true believer that you can manifest your dreams and desires with the written word and doodles!

Love your blog,
Stephanie
